Emergency services attended two serious collisions in the county last night (16th January).
Officers were called by the ambulance service to the B3089 in Berwick St Leonard at 5.50 pm following a collision involving two vehicles. One of the vehicles had flipped onto its side.
The air ambulance attended the scene, and a woman was taken to the hospital in a serious condition.
Later in the evening, police were called by the fire service to the B4039 Yatton Keynell, near Chippenham, shortly before 7.30 pm following a report of a collision involving three vehicles.
The police control room also received multiple reports of black ice across the county and warned that driving conditions remain difficult on untreated roads.
