Police officers investigating an assault which left a man with a serious eye injury have released CCTV images of two people they’d like to identify.
At approximately 12.45am on Sunday 25th September, a man in his 30s was assaulted at the junction of Catherine Street and Milford Street in Salisbury.
The victim was taken to Salisbury District Hospital where he remains and is said to be in a stable condition but has suffered a serious eye injury.
Det Sgt Toni Nugent, of South CID, commented, “This was a nasty, unprovoked assault on a man who was out with his girlfriend when he was approached by two men he had never met and punched multiple times.
“We believe there were people in the area at the time who may have information which could help so please get in touch.”
