This year’s headline sponsor is A-Class Roofing and Construction, based at Harnham Trading Estate.
Directors Hannah and Simon Dreyer told Salisbury Radio, “We are incredibly proud to be the main sponsor of this year’s Local Hero Awards. After sponsoring an individual category last year, we wanted to take our support even further by backing the entire event and helping ensure that the incredible people within our community receive the recognition they truly deserve.”
There are 11 sponsored categories this year - each category is sponsored by a local company, which enables Salisbury Radio to host a gala awards event at The Stones Hotel.
This year’s awards event is on Friday 11th September.
THIS YEAR’S CATEGORIES ARE:
- Charitable Company (Jones & Company)
- Child of Courage (Cholderton Rare Breeds)

Hannah Dreyer from A-Class Roofing said, “Salisbury is a city built on community spirit, kindness and resilience. Every day, there are people going above and beyond to support others, make a difference and help our city thrive — often without expecting anything in return.
“These awards are an opportunity to celebrate those individuals and shine a light on the amazing people who make Salisbury such a special place to live and work”.
Salisbury Radio’s afternoon host Craig Hicks added, “We are really looking forward to receiving the nominations for this year’s categories and we thank all the amazing local businesses who enabling us help exhibit amazing, un-sung heroes in our community”.
Simon Dreyer from A-Class Roofing said, “As a local business, Salisbury is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to work here, run our business here, and be part of such a supportive and inspiring community”.
Last year over 100 people attended the awards event, with category winners including Lisa & Spencer Mulholland (Carer Award), Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital (Charitable Company) and Jane Farrell (Charitable Employee). Lilly Pidsley was last year's 'Child of Courage' winner.
Looking ahead of this year's awards, Hannah Dreyer concluded, “Supporting the Local Hero Awards is our way of giving something back and showing appreciation for the people who make this city what it is.
“We look forward to celebrating all of this year’s nominees and winners, and recognising the everyday heroes who continue to make Salisbury proud.”
