The owners of YOYO on Milford Street have announced that the cocktail bar will be shutting for the foreseeable future.
The bar, next door to the Red Lion Hotel, has been YOYO for 13 years and has been a popular destination for people on a night out.
Their announcement on Facebook, said: "This has not been an easy decision and it is with a truly heavy heart that we must announce today that YOYO Cocktail Bar will be closed for the foreseeable future.
"Since opening in March 2010, we have had some amazing times and we are truly thankful for its success. But after 13 years the time has come to say goodbye.
"After the pandemic we came back chomping at the bit, but the increased running costs of YOYO now far out way the amount that customers are spending.
"Everyone is finding it tough financially and going out for drinks and meals etc are more of luxury these days.
"We would like to give a massive “Thank You” to our son Jamie Welch for his ideas, vision, commitment, and all his hard work. We couldn’t have done it without you 🫶🏼
"And a thank you to our loyal customers and the many incredible staff we have worked with over the past 13 years. Without you our dream would not have become a reality, but sadly now the dream is now over.
"So, thanks again to you all “it’s been emotional” as the saying goes Goodbye 👋
