Salisbury District Hospital has confirmed the death of a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday 8th September.
A spokesperson for Salisbury District Hospital said, "Sadly, we can confirm that a patient who had been cared for at Salisbury District Hospital and had tested positive for COVID-19 died on Saturday 18th September. The patient was in her 50s and had underlying health conditions.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time. We would urge everyone to continue to take precautions to minimise the spread of the virus".
220 patients in total have now passed away.
There are currently 9 COVID-19 positive patients being treated at the hospital.
