Two people have been charged with rural crime offences after they were arrested by Salisbury response officers, following reports of hare coursing near Ludgershall in the summer.
Michael Bowers, 26, of Botley Road, Southampton, along with a 15-year-old boy from Patchway, Bristol, were charged with being equipped to trespass with the intention of using a dog to search for or pursue a hare under S64 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and hunting a mammal with dogs under S1 Hunting Act 2004.
It follow an incident in a field off the A342 at around 8.30pm on August 1st, 2024.
Both are due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on February 7th.
