Two people were arrested following the pursuit of a stolen vehicle yesterday morning (Monday, 26th August).
At approximately 10.30 am on Monday, Police received reports that a Jaguar had been stolen from an address in Shrewton and was being driven by a 16-year-old male. Two arrested following pursuit of stolen vehicle
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said, "The vehicle was located travelling on the A36 through Westbury, and after failing to stop for police, a pursuit was authorised with the assistance of NPAS (National Police Air Service).
"Following the successful deflation of the vehicle's tyres by officers, the vehicle crashed on the A350 and two occupants were detained.
"Two young males from Devizes were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, theft of a motor vehicle and burglary.
"One is currently in Melksham custody assisting officers with their investigation.
"The second male remains in hospital at this time but is not seriously injured.
"Enquiries continue."
