'Thoughts, words and dreams' exhibition raises over £1000 for Alabaré and community art fund

The 'thoughts, words and dreams' exhibition organised by Scrace Architects has raised over £1000 to support Alabaré and a community fund to make art and architecture more accessible.

The exhibition at the Vanner Gallery combined photography from the “This is my Hope” Alabaré competition with paintings and extracts from “This Too Will Pass” by Tim Scrace. Forming a unique retrospective on lockdown, the mindful nature of the exhibition offered a new hope.

Having sold over 40 books plus prints and paintings the team say they are on course to establish a small pot to enable workshops and artwork.

However, to enable the best start to the venture the team are keen to encourage the purchase of the Limited Edition books and prints which are still available. Hardback copies of the book “thoughts, words and dreams” can be bought online or in person at Regent Tailoring, Fisherton Mill and The Rocketship bookshop.

50% of profits go to Alabaré and 50% to a community fund.

One of the mysteries arising from the artwork is the person in the yellow hat who features on the cover of the book “thoughts, words & dreams”.

As an influential figure in the formation of the exhibition and the framing of the book, the team are eager to learn about this story.

This too shall pass by Tim Scrace features the person in “the yellow hat” on the front cover.
