We all know someone special in our community, they could be an individual or group who go above and beyond to make a difference to people’s lives across South Wiltshire and West Hampshire.
Organisers Salisbury Radio, together with Jones & Co, are accepting nominations for this year’s Salisbury Local Hero Awards being held at The Stones Hotel on Friday, September 12th.
There are 10 categories, including Teacher of the Year, Charitable Company and Carer of the Year. Nominations are made online and are open until July 27th
Whether it’s your parents, a local company with a charitable nature or a team of people who have made a significant fundraising contribution for a local charitable organisation, there will be a category that suits.
Simon Futcher from Cara Glass said, ‘I am really pleased, as a local company, to be a part of this year's local Hero awards, especially the Lifetime Achievement Award. There are so many people out there who are completely unsung for all they do, and this will be a great chance to say thank you."
You are invited to visit the event’s website to make your nominations. Salisbury Radio managing director David Harber said, “This year’s event has been made possible thanks to the support of some of Salisbury’s most considerate and community-minded local businesses, including Parker Bullen, Grist Environmental and A Class Roofing.
“The award ceremony at The Stones Hotel in September will be a red carpet, gala event where nominees and winners will be recognised for their unassuming commitment to making our community a better place to live, work and play.”
