Salisbury City Council will host The Great Salisbury Bake Off on Sunday 5 September in Salisbury Market Place, crowing Salisbury's best baker.
As part of Foodie Sunday, budding bakers are invited to impress the judges in the Bake Off with their fantastic creations. All you need to do is bring your cake to Salisbury Guildhall by 12pm on the 5th September and enter either the Under 16’s or Over 16’s category.
The prizes up for grabs are:
Over 16’s first prize: Portable Airbrush and a set of paints donated by The Cake Forge.
Over 16’s runner up prize: £50 Waitrose Cookery school voucher, donated by the Salisbury Waitrose Cookery School (this is enough to cover a 2 hour evening course or can be put toward a full day course).
Under 16’s first prize: Cake making tools and decorations bundle donated by The Cake Forge.
Under 16’s runner up prize: Baking experience with Charter 1227 Chef, in their professional kitchen, donated by Charter 1227 Kitchen.
Judges are not only looking for the best decorated but also the tastiest cake too. Winners will be announced by 2pm on the day.
The Bake Off is taking place at Foodie Sunday which is open from 10am – 4pm on Sunday 5 September. Visitors can enjoy food demos, tastings, local chefs and an array of food vendors in Salisbury Market Place.
