Salisbury District Hospital’s Charity Stars Appeal and Wiltshire Creative, together, brought some festive cheer to patients with a special visit from the stars of this year’s panto!
Patients who would have been unable to see Wiltshire Creative’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty at Salisbury Playhouse got to meet its star Lottie Mae O’Kill (Princess Stella), joined by fellow cast members Brandon Thompson and Bella Donald.
The visit on Wednesday, 18th December, was organised as part of the Hospital charity’s Stars Appeal Live programme. The programme brings live music, theatre performances, poetry, storytelling, and other creative activities to thousands of patients and visitors across the Hospital every year to lift spirits, all of which is funded by donations and fundraising.

Stars Appeal Live Co-ordinator Rebecca Seymour said: “It was fantastic to welcome cast members from Sleeping Beauty who brought lots of joy and festive magic to patients and staff at the Hospital. This was a wonderful addition to our Stars Appeal Live programme this Christmas, which is all about brightening up a patient’s day with music and creative activities.
"We are so grateful to the cast and Wiltshire Creative for their time and support to make Christmas extra special at Salisbury Hospital and to the Stars Appeal donors who provide the funding to make visits like these possible.”

Artistic Director of Wiltshire Creative, Gareth Machin, added: “Being a part of the Salisbury community is an important part of our values and work at Wiltshire Creative, and we are delighted to share a bit of pantomime magic at Salisbury District Hospital this Christmas.”
Sleeping Beauty is on at Salisbury Playhouse until 12th January, for tickets and more information, visit www.wiltshirecreative.co.uk.
