This Valentine's Day, show yourself some love, join your local Wiltshire Council leisure centre and engage in activities to help elevate your mood and boost energy.
All 20 Wiltshire leisure centres will be offering no joining fee membership deals until Friday, 23rd February, a saving of £25.
With membership at a Wiltshire Council leisure centre giving access to all 20 sites, if you take up the Life Zone membership, you can access a wide range of group exercise classes, from high intensity classes, including the internationally renowned Les Mills classes, through to wellness classes like pilates and yoga. Classes provide a motivational way to build regular activity into a weekly routine and provide a great platform to meet new people and be inspired by enthusiastic instructors.
Wiltshire Council Cabinet Member for Leisure, Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling, said: "Looking after your personal health and wellbeing is more important than ever, and moving connects our brain and our body and helps us feel good. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, Valentines Day is a celebration of love. What better way to treat yourself than with gifting yourself or your loved one a leisure centre membership.
“If you’re a first-time gym user, or someone that’s returning to a more active lifestyle, our fitness teams are on hand to provide you with a professional, supported and guided introduction to the gym. This includes a consultation session to talk about your aims and goals, along with an introductory session in the gym to show you the equipment. A personalised fitness programme will be created to ensure that when you spend your valuable time in the gym, you’re getting the results that you are looking for.
“Alternatively, you may prefer to come along to one of our wide range of group exercise classes or for a refreshing dip in the pool. With 16 swimming pools in the county and a good value membership that includes unlimited public swimming at all pools, swimming could be the ideal way to increase your physical activity in a low impact way.
“Encouraging the people of Wiltshire to increase their activity levels and improve their health is a key priority in our Business Plan and our Valentines Day offer will encourage more people to embrace self-love and take that first step towards a more active lifestyle.”
