Andy North's crime? He's a 'positivity perpetrator' and he's helping raise more than £10,000 for Salisbury Hospice Charity.
Andy's crime - and inevitable incarceration - is all part of 'Jail & Bail', an annual fundraiser for the popular local charity.
Jail & Bail is a hugely entertaining annual 'courtroom event' which sees fundraisers arrested, charged with fictitious crimes and then placed on trial. Andy is one of 'six perps' who are trying to beat last year's £10,000 fundraising total.
If the jailbirds are found guilty of their ‘wicked crimes’ - which they inevitably will - they will be taken into custody, photographed and banished to the cells at Salisbury's 'Live Escape Rooms' tourist attraction.
They will only be released if they can raise bail of £999 each for Salisbury Hospice from their connections, including friends, family and colleagues in this fun courtroom drama event.
Last year Salisbury Radio's Craig Hicks was sentenced by his team for 'snaffling all the chocolate biscuits in the studios'. This year Andy North from the Chamber of Commerce joins Christian Airey from Wessex Care, Martin Rossiter from PFK Francis Clark, Dave Hearn from Sarum Properties, Anthony Rice from S&W Group and Craig Haywood from Tesco.
ANDY'S STORY
In a town known for its calm and quiet charm, one individual stood out — where meetings are usually powered by biscuits and mild despair, one man dared to believe in… “what’s possible.” The President of the Chamber has been apprehended for disrupting the peace with relentless positivity — bursting into boardrooms with boundless energy, firing off motivational quotes like confetti, and refusing to end a meeting without declaring, “Let’s do something amazing!”
The Directors couldn’t take the energy. Even the coffee machine short-circuited under the pressure.
Now detained for excessive cheer, he’s facing a £999 bail. Will your donation restore balance… or unleash even more inspiration?
Andy was sentenced by his colleagues at Salisbury Chamber of Commerce.
