Salisbury beat Dover to win back-to-back home games and go eleven points clear of the relegation zone through two first half goals.
The first real chance of the half fell to the visitors as Salisbury number one Will Buse was able to deny them, with an additional goal-line clearance by the skipper Sommerton.
The first goal of the game went to the Whites just before the half-hour mark after Sommerton slid Tommy Willard through on goal in acres of space, tucking the ball into the bottom-left-hand corner under little pressure.
Fast forward ten minutes, a Dover midfielder is brought down on the break, who plays a quick free-kick through the heart of the Salisbury backline for Shariff, who fired past the keeper for the equaliser.
However, as it looks destined for both teams to head into the tunnel a goal apiece, the Whites hook a corner into the box for Max Jolliffe to smash into the roof of the net in the fourth minute of added time.
The second half was much quieter in terms of goalmouth action, but ten minutes after the interval, Dover midfielder Wilkinson was fortunate not to have the ball nicked in his box by Willard for Salisbury’s third.
Likewise, just five minutes later at the other end, after the ball was given away by the Whites' defence, Dover’s Nikaj struck a chance high over the net to level proceedings.
The game ended with Salisbury picking up all three points and easing away from the relegation places as the only team in the bottom half of the table with a win on Saturday.
Salisbury have two matches over the Easter Weekend, with Weston-super-Mare visiting the Ray Mac on Easter Monday, but ahead of that, Salisbury make the short trip down the A36 to AFC Totton on Good Friday.
