On Friday, 24th April, Salisbury Radio is inviting people to come together at Salisbury Sings.
Salisbury's local radio station is hosting a Mass Karaoke event in the Market Place and want all crowd to become the performers, singing along to huge anthemic songs, with all the words on the big screen.
The event starts at 4 pm with songs aimed at younger members of the community. Think Disney, Kpop Demon Hunters, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars.
Then, from 6:30 pm, things will have a more grown-up focus, though the tracks will be so anthemic that all ages can sing along. With huge tunes like Mr Brightside, Sweet Caroline and Summer of 69.
There will be crowd involvement, too, with competitions and prizes. Participants will also have the chance for the crowd to pick the songs coming up.
You can expect sing-offs, dance competitions and a whole host of fun as the Salisbury Radio team creates a party atmosphere in the marketplace.
Salisbury Radio Presenter Craig Hicks will be on stage, getting everyone involved. He said, "We want to hear the city sing! We want all ages to come along and belt out some huge tracks and get a party started in the market square.
"As soon as we heard the City Council were putting a stage in the square, we knew we wanted to come and do something fun but a bit different."
Along with a bar, there will also be bucket collections on behalf of Stars Appeal, raising money to support Salisbury Hospital.
Craig added, "What better way to raise money for such an amazing cause than by having fun?"
The event is free to attend, and starts at 4 pm on Friday, 24th April 2026 in Salisbury Market Place, with the music becoming a little more adult-focused at 6:30 pm.
