Salisbury secured their second win on the road in just a few days, with a win away at Enfield Town.
Goals in each half from Matty Taylor and Matthew Briggs were enough to secure all three points, despite a late fight back from their hosts, with Hayden Bullas scoring to ensure a nervy last few minutes for Salisbury's travelling supporters.
Salisbury started the game well but were limited to shots from distance, with Josh Hedges firing over from the edge of the box after 10 minutes.
Just three minutes later, Noah Coppin nearly teed up Matt Briggs for the opener, but Coppin's cross was just out of reach as he whipped the ball across the edge of the six-yard box.
Salisbury's shots from distance were getting ever closer. In the 25th minute, Josh Keeya saw his effort whistle just over Tom Norcott's crossbar.
Enfield were looking to hit Brian Dutton's side on the break, but were let down by their finishing or final ball, with Will Buse and his defence able to deal with everything that was thrown at them.
It was a bit of quick, clever thinking that broke the deadlock. A quick free kick from Josh Hedges sent Matt Briggs racing down the left flank; his accurate cross was turned home by Matty Taylor with 37 minutes played.
Enfield put Salisbury under pressure as the half came to its conclusion; however, the White's defence was equal to it and led by a single goal at the break.
Salisbury came out of the block quickly again in the second half. Tom Norcott denied Josh Hedges in the 49th minute as he was put in behind the Enfield defence, but the Towner's stopper was out quickly to deny the Salisbury Forward.
The Whites (playing in blue) doubled their lead in the 58th minute. Hedges swung in a corner, and it was headed goalwards. Matt Briggs reacted well to turn the ball into the back of the net.
Again, Enfield fought back, had a succession of corners and some optimistic penalty shouts, but again, Salisbury were able to hold firm, with Tom Davies marshalling the back line well.
Salisbury were playing well on the break; they broke the Enfield offside trap in the 79th minute to send substitute Ollie Bray through one-on-one with Norcott, who again stood up well to deny the Salisbury striker a goal.
Just a few minutes later, Enfield set up a nervy last few minutes for Salisbury. Hayden Bullas finally got the better of Salisbury's resolute defence, smashing the ball past Buse from around 8 yards out.
Salisbury came under a huge amount of pressure from the home side, and deep into injury time, Tom Davies came to the rescue as he cleared the ball away from under his own bar to deny Enfield a late, late equaliser.
The three points lift Salisbury to 18th in the National League South table and six points clear of the relegation zone. Up next is an FA Trophy tie, away at Plymouth Parkway on Saturday (15th November).
Meanwhile, Laverstock & Ford's game against Cowes Sport in the League Cup last night was abandoned at halftime due to the weather. Chae Sykes put the Bulldogs 1-0 in the first half, but as the teams came out for the second half, the rain had got the better of the pitch, and the referee called the game off. Lavvy will now host New Milton this Saturday down at the Dell.
