Salisbury Radio is launching an online radio station playing the Greatest Hits from four decades.
We have been listening to our audience, and it's clear that sometimes we don't play songs that go far back enough in time, so we are fixing that!
From Monday 4th of September, you will have a choice of Salisbury Radio stations to listen to - Salisbury Radio or Salisburygold - our brand-new sister station.
Playing 'Just Great Songs' from the 1950s through the 80s, the new station will be available online and via our website, which currently is having a bit of a rejig in the background in readiness.
The new station will also be available on your Amazon Alexa smart speaker and gradually appear on smartphone radio apps.
It'll also have local news and content with Craig Hick's breakfast show appearing on both stations at launch, with more shows being added as we lead up to Christmas.
Salisbury Radio director, Andy Munns is excited by the new addition, "We can't play everything on the main service, so to have a new station that focuses on playing things that are just that bit older is exciting.
"It's important that we keep the local part of what we do across both stations, as the local content is what differentiates us from other radio stations available across the city.
"You will find the same local news, events and information that we share on Salisbury Radio on Salisburygold but with almost 2000 hits from those four decades. We can't wait to share it with you."
