Salisbury Radio is pleased to say that 17 local schools are to take part in 'Song for Christmas'.
As we all look ahead to Christmas, Salisbury Radio wants to help us all get in the spirit with schools singing their favourite Christmas song.
17 local schools are now busy preparing a Christmas Song of their own choosing. It can be well-known, obscure or an original song.
The Salisbury Radio elves will then come and record the performances during November to play on the radio during December, in the lead-up to the festive period.
Parents, children and teachers will be able to hear their track played on Salisbury Radio both during Breakfast with Craig & Beth and Drive Time with Grant Francis.
We will present the songs to our panel of judges to crown a winner of the Best Song for Christmas, with a trophy and book tokens for the winning school.
We will then create a digital download of all the recorded songs so parents and pupils can download their school’s songs and all the other schools participating.
All proceeds from the digital downloads will be donated to Salisbury Hospice Charity.
We can't wait to hear the songs and play them on our radio station via DAB, Smart Speakers and Online.
