Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce that, following a robust and successful recruitment process, the Council of Governors have approved the appointment of Ian Green as the new Trust Chair.
Ian has been appointed for a term of three years in line with the Trust’s constitution. He will succeed Dr Nick Marsden, whose term of office comes to an end on 31st December 2022.
Ian has a wealth of experience and knowledge from his current role as Chief Executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust and from Non-Executive Director posts within the NHS over the past 15 years, including the South-Central Ambulance Trust Board.
This broad experience has given him an excellent grasp of healthcare delivery challenges and those specific to Salisbury. Ian is committed to ensuring services are delivered following the best possible practices and emphasises the importance of working with partners to ensure population health needs are met in a safe and effective environment.
Ian Green commented on his appointment: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Chair of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. I know Salisbury and Wiltshire well and am committed to the delivery of the best possible healthcare for patients and the wider public.
He continued: "I look forward to working with colleagues and partners to deliver our vision of providing an outstanding experience for our patients, their families and the people who work for and with us.”
Ian will be joining the Trust on 1st February 2023.
