A Salisbury man has been charged with five offences following an extensive investigation by the Wiltshire Police Volume Crime Team.
Darren Brooks, 43, of no fixed address, Salisbury, has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, two counts of intentional strangulation, intentional suffocation and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a private place.
The offences span from March 2024 to August 2025 and took place in the Downton area.
Brooks has been remanded in custody until he appears at Salisbury Crown Court on January 14th 2026.
