Salisbury FC were soundly beaten away at promotion and title challengers Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.
A late Josh Wakefield consolation was a high point on a forgettable afternoon for Brian Dutton's side.
The home side were ahead before the game had really got going. Confusion in the Salisbury left 'keeper Gerard Benfield out of position. Scott Laird capitalised and headed the ball into the empty goal from the edge of the box on 5 minutes.
An offside flag and some good 'keeping from Benfield kept the score to 1-0 at halftime.
Salisbury started the second half better, but they were unable to really stretch Harris in the Weston goal.
Salisbury were against architects of their own downfall, with Weston's second goal coming from a Salisbury free kick.
The Seagulls took advantage of Salisbury being sloppy in possession, with Jackson's shot going in via the crossbar and Benfield.
Only two minutes later, it was 3. Sam Roberts conceded a penalty as he brought down Reid. Grubb made no mistake from the spot.
Wakefield finally registered for the Whites on the scoresheet on 86 minutes. He timed his run well to latch onto a good ball from Lee and finished well.
Salisbury's tough run of fixtures continues. They welcome third-placed Chesham United on Saturday (12th November), kick-off at 3 pm.
