Sports Direct Fitness Gym in Salisbury is to close its doors permanently with very short notice.
The gym, located on the edge of Salisbury's central car park, notified staff and customers of the closure by email today.
In the email to customers, it announced its closure as of today (Monday, 11th December) and that the gym will not be reopening.
Customers have been advised that December direct debits will be partially refunded and will be refunded to bank accounts before the end of the month.
Those with hired lockers have until 10 pm this evening or 1 pm tomorrow (Tuesday 12th December) to retrieve their belongings.
Many customers have voiced their disappointment and shared their sympathy with staff via social media.
Charlie said on social media, "Absolutely disgraceful that the Coy (company) has treated its loyal hard-working staff like this!
Laura added, "This is appalling!!! What a disgusting way to treat their staff. And obviously their members but I really feel for their staff I hope they get full pay until January!!!"
