Large numbers of people descended on Salisbury's marketplace on Friday afternoon and into the evening, and Christmas began.
Entertained by the likes of DJ Disco Dion, The Evolution Choir and Deloreans, there was also the chance to meet Father Christmas and Reindeer, ride on Fair Ground Rides and enjoy something to eat and drink.
The Grinch was also spotted as his desperate attempts to spoil Christmas continued.
With the chance to buy some festive gifts, mulled wine and other tasty treats, the people of Salisbury now know the festive period has begun.
Christmas on the Square continues through until the beginning of January with Frost bar and a selection of food and gift stalls.
