Salisbury District Hospital has confirmed the death of a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday 7th September.
A spokesperson said, "Sadly, we can confirm that a patient who had been cared for at Salisbury District Hospital and had tested positive for COVID-19 died on Tuesday 7th September. The patient was in her 70s and had underlying health conditions.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time."
219 patients in total have now passed away.
There are currently 10 COVID-19 positive patients being treated at the hospital.
"We would urge everyone to continue to take precautions to minimise the spread of the virus," they added.
