Johan Sunnanangs, CEO of Spelcash, commented on the findings: "With the cost of living still weighing heavily on households, it's no surprise that affordability is becoming a priority for New Year's Eve plans across the UK. Cities that offer lower prices on essentials like drinks, food, and transport are seeing increased appeal as people look for ways to celebrate without stretching their budgets.
"The findings show that you don't need to be in a major nightlife hub to enjoy a memorable night out. In fact, many smaller cities are offering some of the best value celebrations in the country. For many partygoers this New Year's Eve, knowing they can enjoy the countdown without worrying about spiralling costs is a welcome relief, especially after several years of rising prices."
