A contract between Wiltshire Council and idverde currently sees services such as grass cutting, and street cleaning provided by the landscaping services company. This contract expires next November and control of the grounds maintenance services will be returned to Salisbury City Council.
The council say the decision, endorsed unanimously by city councillors on Monday 15th November, should result in even better standards of maintenance for all open spaces and a more responsive, coordinated service for the public.
The council will be following the standard processes for situations such as these in relation to staffing.
