Salisbury City Council has announced a brand-new and exciting initiative: a 6-week stage installation in the Market Place.
From Saturday 14th March to Saturday 25th April 2026, this stage will offer a fantastic opportunity for local performers, businesses, schools, college/university students, community groups, buskers, and many others to showcase their talents or gain valuable live event experience.
The structure, supplied by partner organisation All The Kit, will be a trussing cube featuring a tiered 6x4m stage with accessible access, a stretch tent cover, and two PA wings.
The City Council is seeking applications from performers from Salisbury and its surrounding areas to provide entertainment during the time the stage is in situ. If you are interested in getting involved, head to the Salisbury City Council website, here, where you can find and complete an application form.
Cllr Sam Charleston, Leader of Salisbury City Council, said, “We are pleased to deliver former councillor Jo King’s vision for this stage, bringing new performance opportunities and live entertainment to the city.
“We hope this enhances the city’s offering and provides a platform for performers of all kinds. Whether you’re an established or up-and-coming artist, dance troupe or community group, we encourage you to get in touch today and apply.”
In addition, there is also an exciting sponsorship opportunity, including the chance to have your company logo displayed on both the front and back of the stage. Get in touch via email at events@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk with the subject ‘Stage Sponsorship’ for more information.
