Rockbourne Early Christmas Fair has opened its doors for a three-day shopping extravaganza in support of the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s Charity.
The Fair, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, opened today (Wednesday, October 14) and runs until Friday, October 16. Visitors can also enjoy late-night shopping on Thursday, with the Fair staying open until 7.30 pm.
With over 90 handpicked stalls packed with fashion, jewellery, homeware, cosmetics, gourmet food, and unique gifts, there is plenty on offer for visitors searching for their perfect Christmas gift - many of which are not available on the high street. This year, the Fair has over 30 new stalls.
The popular Rockbourne Fair Lunch Menu is returning to the on-site restaurant, offering seasonal dishes, coffee and cake deals, and even a glass of fizz for those in the festive spirit. Wood-fired sourdough pizzas will also be available to enjoy al fresco during the Fair.
Bev Moulding, the Chair of the Rockbourne Fair Team, said: "We're delighted to see Rockbourne Fair in full swing and to welcome visitors for what promises to be another fantastic event. The Fair offers a great day out with a wonderful selection of stalls and delicious food on offer. We’d encourage people to come along and make a day of it with family and friends. Every purchase helps support the Stars Appeal and the incredible work it does for patients and their families at Salisbury Hospital, so by joining us you’ll be helping make a real difference to local people.”
The money raised will help the Stars Appeal towards the £2million it aims to raise this year to fund projects across Salisbury Hospital. These include new equipment such as a mammogram machine for the Breast Unit, enhancements to buildings, and ongoing projects, including support for people with cancer, a dedicated play assistant on the Children’s Unit, and Stars Appeal Wi-Fi.
Helena Sinclair, of the Stars Appeal, added: “Every pound raised at Rockbourne Fair will help us fund projects that enhance care and support for patients and their families at Salisbury Hospital. We are so grateful to Bev and her brilliant team for their ongoing support, which continues to make a lasting difference to local people. We look forward to meeting shoppers and sharing the difference their support makes.”
The Fair opens from 10am and free parking is available. For more information, visit www.rockbournefair.org.uk
