Rockbourne Fair Approaches in support of Stars Appeal

The final countdown is on for Rockbourne Fair 2025 - the Early Christmas shopping event returns to Salisbury Racecourse next week, from Wednesday, 15th to Friday, 17th October.

With over 100 handpicked stalls and thousands of expected visitors, it’s set to be a memorable three days of festive shopping, connection, and community spirit. But beyond the gorgeous gifts and goodies, Rockbourne Fair is an event with real purpose - raising vital funds for the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s Charity.

In 2024, the Fair raised £62,081 - a record-breaking total that went directly towards life-changing projects across Salisbury District Hospital. From cancer support services to medical equipment, the funds raised help make hospital stays better for thousands of local patients and their families.

Bev Moulding, Chair of the Rockbourne Fair Committee, said: “Every ticket, every coffee, every gift bought at the Fair adds up to something much bigger. We’re so proud of what the event has achieved and excited to see what we can do together in 2025. There’s nothing quite like seeing the impact we’ve made when we visit the hospital and hear from patients and staff directly.”

Earlier this year, the Rockbourne Fair Committee were invited to the Hospital to hand over their donation and see firsthand where the money goes.

Money raised will go towards the £2million the charity aims to raise this year to fund projects across Salisbury District Hospital, including:

• New diagnostic and treatment equipment
• Free Wi-Fi and chaplaincy services across the hospital
• Support services for people with cancer
• Emergency clothing and toiletries for patients in crisis
• Parental accommodation and bereavement support
• A play assistant on Sarum Children’s Ward, providing comfort and distraction to young patients during treatment

 Rockbourne Fair 2025 is not just about shopping - it’s a chance to do good while finding gifts you won’t see on the high street. From skincare to gourmet food, luxury fashion to artisan homeware, this year’s stallholder line-up includes over 30% new traders alongside returning favourites.

It’s where Christmas lists are tackled early, friends reconnect, and visitors soak up the friendly atmosphere - with coffee in hand and armfuls of beautiful finds. Add in lunch in the onsite restaurant, fresh pizza from the new outdoor van, free parking, and late-night shopping on Thursday 16th October, and you’ve got an event that’s as joyful as it is meaningful. With high hopes for another brilliant fundraising total in 2025, the Fair continues to grow as both a calendar highlight and a force for good.

• Thursday 16th October: 10 am - 7.30 pm (Late-Night Shopping)
• Friday 17th October: 10 am - 3 pm

• Entry: £6 per person (£3 after 6 pm on Thursday)
