The first 'Pre-loved Fashion Event' raising money for Salisbury District Hospital was a huge success.
Organised by a group of Stars Appeal supporters, including some Trekking to the Lost City in Columbia next year, the event was held in Alderbury Village Hall at the end of April.
Sellers all paid for a pitch and then donated to the cause based on their sales at the end of the event. Money was also raised through cafe sales, and the group also had their 'Trekker Boutique'.
The event raised an amazing £2271, which will go directly to the Stars Appeal to continue to enhance care for patients across all wards and departments at Salisbury District Hospital.
Lynne Rose, organiser and Stars Appeal Trekker said, "We were absolutely thrilled with how many people came to support the event; we had almost 250 visitors!
"The hard work and organisation were completely worth it, and I can’t thank my fellow trekkers and our sustainable sellers enough for all of their support.
"The fashion show was a highlight, with 3 of our boutique sellers, Made by SJP, Sisters Wardrobe and Sustainable Style Boutique, showcasing a selection of their collections on the catwalk and was a huge hit with the crowd!
"After such a successful first event, we have another planned for November, so will be sharing details soon!"
