Last year, local Ludgershall resident, Daniella Armstrong set up a Facebook group to help local people get food for their pets throughout lockdown. The group has got 1.7k members supporting the local communities. This summer Daniella and the team have been working hard to have essential supplies in local shops for homeless member’s of the community.
Over the past year Daniella, has supported hundreds of families to receive essential items to get them through the lockdowns. She gave up her time to supply lunch boxes for local families over the school holidays, and supplied a Christmas grotto, with the support of local companies from her own home, creating the magic of Christmas free of charge for families.
The team have been relentless in supporting people in need, and despite lockdown being lifted the group continues to support people. Behind the scenes Daniella has been working with local shops, currently there are 2 in Andover, 1 in Amesbury, 1 in Larkhill and 2 in Salisbury. To be local pit stops for homeless people this summer.
The shops will be there for homeless locals to access; water, food, hats, sun cream, hygiene products. The hope is that this project will be up and running from Monday the 7th June, with more information on the locations to follow.
If you are able to support by donating, being a pit stop shop, getting the message out to the local homeless community please get in touch with Daniella HERE
