Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver continued through a red light and failed to stop for the police in Salisbury.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said, "The driver of a silver Ford Focus Zetec was travelling up Devizes Road towards Fugglestone Red at 5.13pm on September 13 when they drove through a red light outside the Royal Oak Pub.
"They narrowly missed a man who was crossing the road.
"This was seen by police officers who were waiting to pull onto Devizes Road from Queen Alexandra Road.
"When the officer approached the car, the driver drove off at speed.
"The male driver was around 5ft 11, with dark hair, aged between 40 and 60 years and wore a dark jacket.
