A man has sadly died following a collision in Mere yesterday evening (14th April).
At around 11 pm, a 39-year-old pedestrian fell from a bridge which runs above the A303 Mere Bypass.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wiltshire police said, "His next of kin have been informed, and officers are supporting them. Our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.
"The road has now fully reopened, and our investigation into the incident is ongoing.
"Any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage leading up to it, should contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting Log number 322 of 14/04.
