Man charged with GBH after car struck pedestrians in Salisbury

A 25-year-old man has been charged with two counts of Grievous Bodily Harm with intent and driving a motor vehicle dangerously after a car was deliberately driven at pedestrians on Fisherton Street.

Cameron David Bailey, from Mooltan Barracks, Naini Tal Road, Tidworth appeared before South East Wiltshire Remand Court where he was refused bail and remanded in custody.

Two people were hurt during the incident on Sunday (27th March 2022) which occurred at around 9.45pm.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by the car, which mounted the pavement in Fisherton Street before driving away from the scene.
