A man has been charged with causing the death of a man by careless driving following a collision in Salisbury.
Stuart Withers, 71, of Shrewton, died following the collision in Exeter Street just before 6 am on November 22, 2024.
Callan Howitt, 30, of South Street, Warminster, has been charged with causing death by careless driving.
He is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on February 20th.
Stuart Withers was well known in the local footballing community and acted as the Chairman of Shrewton United football club and Vice-Chairman of the Wiltshire Senior League.
Mr Withers had served on the Wiltshire League management committee since 1999 and was elected Vice-Chair in 2006, having previously been a player, manager and more recently Chairman of Shrewton United.
