The team at Salisbury Radio wish to give thanks to the nominators and supporters of this year’s Local Hero Awards.
The nomination deadline was Sunday at midnight and organisers say they are particularly grateful to the community-focussed local businesses who have made this year’s event happen.
Sponsored by Jones & Company on Castlegate Business Park, the awards ceremony will be held at The Stones Hotel on Friday 12th September. However, there are many more businesses who have made this year’s event happen.
Organiser Ceri Hurford-Jones from Salisbury Radio says, “We have a tight, caring and compassionate community here in south Wiltshire and west Hampshire and are grateful not only grateful to those who have made nominations, but also to the great local businesses that have made this pinnacle of Salisbury’s community diary possible.
“We thank the Salisbury Journal for their support and coverage of the awards as well as the ten local businesses who have sponsored a category”.
Businesses involved in this year's Salisbury Local Hero Awards include:
Cara Glass: Lifetime Achievement
Jones & Company: Charitable Company
Northwood: Employee of the Year
Unstuck Studio: Teacher of the Year
Grist Environmental: Good Neighbour
The Stones Hotel: Fundraiser of the Year
