Laverstock and Ford FC have made it through the first qualifying round of the FA Cup and face higher league opposition in Bishops Cleeve.
The 'Bulldogs' have already overcome fellow Salisbury-based side Bemerton Heath Harlequins with a 3-1 win in the previous round and, before that, beat Cowes Sports on the Isle of Wight by the same scoreline in a replay.
Bishops Cleeve plays in the Southern League Division One South, a league higher than Laverstock. The Cheltenham-based side has won its two most recent league fixtures, beating Bemerton Heath Harlequins and Malvern Town in games over the bank holiday weekend. To reach this stage, they have also beaten Highworth Town and Lydney Town.
After winning their preliminary matches, Laverstock has already earned over £2500 in prize money, with more to come regardless of how they perform in this match.
The second qualifying round will be drawn on Monday, 2nd September, with Salisbury FC entering the draw at this stage.
