The Army Flying Museum needs our help. Dan Ball invites us all to be involved in a community project for the Army Flying Museum.
He is inviting people across the area to help create a scarf for the Beaver plane which is displayed outside the museum to help keep it warm this winter.
Dan says, “To help us wrap around the plane we are asking for squares measuring 10 x 10inch square (any colour which can be aviation or flying themed) which will be sewn together and displayed on the plane this winter. The plane called the beaver can be seen from the main road between Andover and Salisbury for all to see as they pass by so the brighter the squares the better.”
“Squares can be any colour and can be knitted or crochet and can be made using any type of stitch (garter or stocking stitch etc).”
For more information please email outreach@armyflying.com
You can either drop them off at the museum during normal opening hours, or post your completed squares to;
