We are less than two weeks away from this year's Wiltshire Creative Pantomime, Jack in the Beanstalk.
The actors are in rehearsals, finishing touches are being applied to the set, and costumes are ready for the curtain to rise on Saturday, 29th November.
There are plenty of familiar aspects to this year's Pantomime, with several team members returning, including writers Plested, Brown and Wilsher, who once again write the script. Gareth Machin is once again directing, and designer Katie Lias also returns after winning awards for last year's show.
There are actors returning too - everyone's favourite gardener from Alderbury is back - this time as an Elvis-inspired fairy, Bella Donald and Brandon Thompson both return from last year too, as on-stage swings.
Also returning, for his third show at Salisbury Playhouse, is George Olney. Last seen in 'A Chorus of Disapproval' and last in Panto in 'Cinderella', he's now back as Jack and excited to be back in Salisburyshire.
Andy sat down with him to talk about Jack and the Beanstalk and why George is excited to be back. Listen to the interview:
What to expect:
Embark on an awesome adventure as Jack sets out on a daring mission to rescue Dolly the Cow. Can our happy-go-lucky hero triumph over the music-hating Giant? Can he and the Fairy Fabulous King of Rock and Roll restore the joy of singing to Salisburyshire? And will Jack ever win Jill’s heart?
This classic tale will be sprinkled in Salisbury magic by the writers and designers of last year’s award-winning pantomime, Sleeping Beauty (Best Costume Design, UK Pantomime Association Awards 2025).
Make your festive season sparkle with fee-fi-fo family fun!
