The owners of The Old Mill pub and hotel in Harnham, Salisbury, have said they intend to reopen the venue and are looking for a new partner to run the pub.
The Old Mill, alongside The Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury, closed last week when the company who ran the venues, Old Sarum Hotels LTD, went into administration.
The national Brewery that owns The Old Mill and has since shared its intentions for the popular Salisbury venue.
A Greene King spokesperson said, “We intend to reopen The Old Mill. We understand its importance to Salisbury and want to make sure we have the right partner in place to run the pub.
"We hope to announce more details in due course.”
Old Sarum Hotels LTD ran The Old Mill as an independent operator who managed the venue as their own pub as a tenant. Greene King is looking for another partner like this to run the venue.
Operations Manager for Old Sarum Hotels, Tommy Roberts said, "The Mill was popular because of its location and it had a very warm and loyal regulars pub kind of feeling.
"I would like to see it reopen and for the team members who once worked in them to maybe be reemployed. I hope they both get reestablished.
“I think both businesses are quite iconic within Salisbury and it’s a shame what has happened. Hopefully, they will be given a new lease of life at some point."
