
Wiltshire Police's ICT Robotic Delivery Team has received international recognition for its pioneering use of robotic process automation (RPA), winning a prestigious award at the SS&C Blue Prism Customer Excellence Awards held in New York.
The team was named the winner in the Rising Star category, an accolade that celebrates emerging leaders in intelligent automation. The awards are judged by a panel of global industry experts, including analysts, consultants, and journalists, and recognise organisations using RPA to deliver innovation, impact, and operational efficiency.
Under the leadership of Mark Levitt, Head of ICT, and Lynsay Birkett, Robotic Delivery Manager, the team has successfully implemented 25 automated processes using Blue Prism RPA, transforming how the force delivers services and supports frontline policing.

In its commendation, the judging panel remarked:
“Wiltshire Police is setting a national benchmark for intelligent automation, saving £1.11 million in the first year and freeing up 27.6 FTEs to focus on frontline policing. With 23 processes planned by 2025, they’ve scaled at record pace, achieving full ROI (Return On Investment) in just six months. Their strong governance, use of Blue Prism’s ROM2, and collaboration across UK forces are enabling sustainable transformation, better data quality, and improved public service.”
