Over 80 brave people walked on glass and fire, or both, in the Guildhall Square in Salisbury last night, raising a huge amount of money for Salisbury Hospice Charity.
Fundraising figures had topped £24,000 as the event was taking place last night, with sponsorship money still to be added.
The event was run by Scott and his team from UK Firewalks and there was firey entertertainment courtesy of Jasmine and Cordy from Steamship Circus.
A large crowd gathered as the participants went through the briefing. They were given instructions first of how to tackle the glass walk.
Each person walked the glass, slowly but confidently before having their feet swept to make sure there was no shards remaining on their feet.
The crowd grew even more in time for the fire walk as more people joined the participants.
The average fire temperature was measured, exceeding 540 degrees and the long line of around 80 people walked bravely across the hot coals.
Once the final figures have been added up from the sponsorship and the bucket collection takes place, there will be a more accurate idea of how much money has been raised. Organisers are hopeful that it will top the £30,000 raised by the first fire walk the charity organised.
