Salisbury FC have signed Aaron Simpson, who spent time in the Love Island Villa during series 7 of the show.
As well as appearing on the popular reality show, the 26-year-old has played for Watford and Chippenham Town in a career that has also taken in Maidstone United, AFC Telford, Kilmarnock and Dover.
During pre-season, the full-back has impressed and earned himself a contract at the Ray Mac. Salisbury manager Brian Dutton is pleased with his latest signing: "Having been speaking with Aaron throughout the Summer, I’m delighted to secure his signature.
"Aaron has impressed me with his willingness to show what he can offer the group, and his debut games in pre-season were excellent.
"He is a forward-thinking full back with an excellent pedigree, and I’m sure he will excite the fans with his marauding runs and end product. Simmo has fitted well into the squad and is a great addition to the group."
For those who don't remember, Aaron only lasted ten days in the Love Island villa. He joined on day 42 and left on day 52.
He is not the first Love Island connection with the Ray Mac. Former White Marvin Brooks also appeared on the ITV show.
