The Deadline to discover ordinary people in and around Salisbury who do extraordinary things is almost here….entries close this Sunday, 27th July, nominations can be made online, with dozens of entries already received.
Organisers Salisbury Radio, together with Jones & Co, encourage you to nominate someone for this year’s Salisbury Local Hero Awards, being held at The Stones Hotel on Friday, September 12th.
There are 10 categories to choose from, including Teacher of the Year, Charitable Company and Carer of the Year.
Whether it’s your parents, a local company with a charitable nature or a team of people who have made a significant fundraising contribution for a local charitable organisation, there will be a category that suits.
“The award ceremony at The Stones Hotel in September will be a red carpet, gala event where nominees and winners will be recognised for their unassuming commitment to making our community a better place to live, work and play.”
The full list of categories is:
Community Project, Charitable Company, Child of Courage, Parent or Guardian, Teacher, Carer, Good Neighbour, Employee, supporting charity, Fundraiser, Bravery and Lifetime Achievement.
It’s really easy to nominate a deserving person or group. Visit the website: www.salisburylocalheroawards.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
