Salisbury’s newest pub officially opens its doors today - Monday 5th October, with Cooper & Co welcoming customers to its new home on Blue Boar Row.
The pub has taken over the former Pizza Hut restaurant which had been derelict since closing in 2020 as part of a national restructuring during the pandemic.
Owned by parent company Amber Taverns, Cooper & Co will bring a new drinking and entertainment venue to the city centre, offering a wide selection of drinks including beers on draught and in bottles, cider, spirits, wine and non-alcoholic options. Customers will also be able to enjoy the pub’s own take on cocktails, known as ‘jam jars’.
There will be plenty to keep patrons entertained too, with interactive darts, a private bookable karaoke room, and a fun photobooth to snap some memories in. The new venue also features a beer garden, complete with an outdoor television, giving customers another space to relax and socialise.
Cooper & Co will be run by operators Paul and Denise. Speaking to Salisbury Radio yesterday (Sunday) during the pub’s pre-launch event the couple said: “We’re so excited to be opening Cooper & Co in Salisbury. When we first arrived here after relocating from Plymouth to start this new venture, the building was an empty shell… no ceilings, no flooring… just a concrete carcass. The contractors have done an amazing job in transforming this into the pub that now stands before us, and we’re so thrilled to now be able to welcome customers in".
Cooper & Co will also be showing sporting events on screens throughout the pub, and plan to start having live music events in the not too distant future.
The pub will operate an over 18’s only policy, and will be open until midnight during weeknights, and until 1am on a Friday and Saturday.
