January can feel a bit grey and gloomy, so this year, Salisbury Hospice Charity is inviting workplaces and individuals across the area to brighten things up with something fun!
On Friday, 30th January, Salisbury Hospice Charity is encouraging everyone to take part in Flip Flops and Flowers, an alternative to a Christmas jumper day. By unseasonably sporting sunglasses, sandals, and floral shirts, Salisbury Hospice Charity hopes the day will raise some cheer and support the hospice’s vital work.
Taking part is simple – just wear anything floral! A Hawaiian top, a flowery sunhat, or if flowers aren’t your thing, go for something bright and colourful. And on your feet? Flip flops or sliders, of course – weather permitting!
To mark the occasion, businesses could decorate the office or even organise a summer-themed bake sale to further the fundraising effort.
Salisbury Hospice Charity is asking for a minimum donation of £1 from everyone who gets involved. In return, participants will help bring some sunshine to the hospice and to their workplace.
All proceeds from the day will make a real difference to the patients and families supported by Salisbury Hospice, which offers a wide range of specialised palliative and end-of-life care services at no cost.
If you’re taking part, don’t forget to share your photos on social media and use the hashtag #FLIPFLOPSANDFLOWERS so everyone can enjoy the colour and creativity!
