A man has been charged this evening (22nd February 2022) in connection with the serious assault which took place on New Canal, Salisbury, in the early hours of Sunday morning (20th February 2022).
Connor Pool, 24, of Salt Lane, Winterbourne Gunner, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
According to Wiltshire Police, the condition of the victim is unchanged at this time.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said, "We are not now looking for any other suspects in connection with this assault."
The police will conduct extra patrols this week and into the weekend to provide reassurance to the local community.
"We are still appealing for witnesses and if you have any information, particularly video footage, that could assist officers, please call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54220018147.
