Ballet Under the Stars returns to Hatch House

Ballet Under the Stars, a world-class evening of ballet and dance returns to Hatch House this summer for three nights.

Held in the beautiful and romantic 17th Century walled Dutch garden of the privately-owned Hatch House in Wiltshire, guests can enjoy ballet and dance in one of the UK’s most intimate and stunning theatrical settings.

On the weekend of the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of July, the walled garden will be transformed by the Covent Garden Dance Company into a stunning 440 seat covered dinner theatre.

The programme is diverse and accessible and every year Covent Garden Dance Director Matt Brady invites special guest stars to headline.

This year, not only will guests be treated to performances by The Royal Ballet’s Principals Fumi Kaneko and Vadim Muntagirov, but also Julia Moskalenko and Stanislav Olshanskyi. They are Principal dancers from the National Ballet of Ukraine, who have had to flee their country after the invasion and Matt Brady invited them to perform at Hatch House this summer.

Hatch House also welcomes back Xander Parish, a British National and, until recently, Principal with the Mariinsky in St Petersburg. Xander is described as a formidable talent, performing in 2019 to huge acclaim. This time, he will dance with his wife Anastasia Demidova.

The programme will also include performances by Principal and First Soloist from the English National Ballet, Fernanda Oliveira and Fabian Reimair, dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet Luna Peigné and Guillaume Diop and Principal dancers with the Staatsballett Berlin, Ksenia Ovsyanick and Alejandro Virelles. Ksenia has danced at Hatch House from the very beginning when she was a young Corps dancer with the English National Ballet and is described as "another phenomenal talent."

Ballet lovers have waited three years to see the return of Ballet Under the Stars, and Covent Garden Dance say they have gone all out to ensure that this year's event really is not to be missed.

The evening’s programme will have a mix of classical, neo-classical and contemporary works presented between three courses of gourmet fine dining.
