Officers are investigating an incident that occurred on the A338 in Downton this morning (12th November) after a traffic collision resulted in a fight between the owners of the vehicles.
Wiltshire Police were called to the area shortly after 10am following a report of a collision involving two vehicles – a BMW 320 and a Honda Civic.
An argument is believed to have broken out between the occupants of the vehicles and a physical altercation took place on the roadside.
A 27-year-old man from Tisbury has been arrested on suspicion of affray, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
A 21-year-old man from Romsey has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both are currently in custody at Melksham for further questioning.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the subsequent altercation to get in touch.
