Alice Roberts brings debut children's novel to Salisbury

Professor Alice Roberts, the well-known anthropologist, author and broadcaster is bringing her brand new children's novel to Salisbury Museum.

The event is happening this Thursday, 3rd August on the museum's rear lawn.

In the book, Roberts weaves a story about a prehistoric girl and neanderthal boy embarking on an adventure that changes the course of human history.

During the event, join Alice as she reveals the inspiration behind her novel, Wolf Road - taking readers on a journey into the Ice Age.

You'll be able to find out about the archaeology that informed the book, from stone tools and animal bones to painted caves and carved mammoth ivory.

You'll also discover how cutting-edge science is challenging and changing our ideas about the deep past and bringing our ancient ancestors into focus, letting us see them more clearly than ever before.

Those in attendance will also receive a ticket to have the chance to buy a signed copy of the book from Salisbury's Rocketship Bookshop.
